Just in case you’re stumbling across this site, allow me to provide some information as to who I am and what this blog is going to be about in the future as I try to provide regular updates.

My name is J.T. O’Connell. I’m an independent author with a book published on the Kindle, as well as two short stories. I enjoy reading in so many different genres that I find myself simply unable to narrow down my writing to a single standard.

If you are interested in taking a glance at some of my work, I suggest checking out Justice Aside, a short story set in the late 1890s American western plains, where all too often, the law was a matter of opinion. You may also check out all three of the mentioned works on Kindle here.

However, if you don’t have a Kindle or are simply uninterested in paying your hard earned pennies to see if my writing is worth a glance, I do have a full-length fan-fiction book available, absolutely free! Least of These is a plot which runs simultaneous to Suzanne Collins’ fantastic book The Hunger Games. While I do recommend it, my fan-fiction book is written so that even people who haven’t read the original book can enjoy it. For those who are familiar with The Hunger Games, Least of These is set in Districts 11 and 12, with a brand new plot dominating in District 11. For this reason, it’s not the normal sort of fan-fiction where a writer changes a few things they wish had been written differently, or creates an alternate version of the entire story to explore a “what if” scenario, or simply provides a different character’s viewpoint. While one of the main characters in Least of These was crucial to the plot in The Hunger Games, most of Least of These stands on its own as an independent work.

I’m currently working on a new, original book, which I anticipate releasing on as many digital book formats as possible, and may even make it available through a self-publishing specialty house.
